15-Week Update

Cady's had a busy month since our last update! We just finished our first girls road trip to Northern California. My mom is in town, and we went to Grass Valley and Morgan Hill/San Martin to visit friends and family. Here are a few recent pictures of our happy girl! We hope she keeps these gorgeous blue eyes!

Catching Up...

Cady's 11 weeks old today! Dan's parents were here last week to visit. We had a good visit. Cady's been to the Rose Bowl, although she won't actually go inside until the RB Flea Market in a few weeks. She's also been to Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles and the San Gabriel Mission. She's taken a couple of trips to Costco, and is so well behaved whenever we go out! Here are a few pictures to catch us up to her 11th week.

Her first trip to Costco...

Her new glasses for the summer.

A little tummy time.

At the mission in San Gabriel. It was built in 1771, and is so pretty.

Here are the proud grandparents during their visit.

Seven Weeks Old and GROWING!

We weighed her on our scale yesterday and she's up to 11.5 pounds. Getting bigger and longer every day. We had visits from Ciara and Cionie this week. Cady is very aware of her surroundings, looking around all the time and smiling a lot. She's getting very interactive. She's outgrown most of her newborn and 0-3 month onsies, and is on to some 3-6 month clothing. The sizes are so inconsistent, it doesn't really mean anything, but it does show how much she's growing!
Here's how the crazy monkey sleeps most of the time.
Here are the 3 C's
We were really going to try to stay away from pacifiers, but sometimes that's just what she wants. Luckily it's not all the time!
Holding her head up and looking around, some of her favorite things to do.
Mug shot...
Dan's beer has been fermenting for a week, so it's time to transfer containers tomorrow to allow the beer to clear, then it goes in bottles next weekend.

Cady's Six Weeks Old!

She's growing fast, and starting to interact more. She's started smiling, and no...it's not just gas. She's also really interested in the mobile above her crib (which was the mobile above my crib 35 years ago). She loves it, and watches it until she falls asleep. We read her lots of stories, and she listens to music during her afternoon naps.
In unrelated news, Dan's going to brew a batch of beer tomorrow for Father's Day. Cady bought him the very big spoon he needed to complete his brewing equipment for Father's Day. Six weeks from tomorrow, we should have homebrewed beer. Speaking of beer, I've started doing some freelance writing about it. You can check out my articles by clicking here. We Took Cady Out to the Ball Game

We took her out with the crowd! No peanuts or cracker jack, but we had a great time. My old audit partner, Chris was in town again and got some excellent tickets to see the Dodgers and Angels play at Dodger Stadium. We met up with him for dinner at The Counter in Pasadena, then carpooled to the game. Cady was so good. She got a little cranky as we were getting ready to leave the restaurant, but she was fine once she ate. Then she slept through most of the game and the drive home. She had three celebrity sightings - Ozzy Osborne, Brian McKnight, and Larry King - who was wearing the weirdest yellow leather jacket.

Bed Time

Just a couple shots of us after Cady's bath tonight. We LOVE these jammies from our friend Christine (a co-worker). They say "I Love Mom" and "I Love Dad"...very, very cute!!!
Lately, Dan can't take a picture with both eyes open to save his life. Regardless, here's the whole family, with Chico peeking through the back.
